High Level Position Description:

As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a team
of experienced software engineers building and maintaining applications
that support our enterprise. You will have an opportunity to work with

Detailed Position Description:
This role will be part of the Enterprise Enablement Team, a newly created
team within Clayton Technology’s Architecture group. One unique aspect of
this role is that it will be a rotational role for a period of 12 to 18
months. We are committed to our Team Members career growth and their
futures and feel the Enterprise Enablement Team is an excellent opportunity
to work side-by-side with other Technology and Business Teams to solve
challenging problems, innovate creatively, and work collaboratively across
groups. The reason these roles will be rotational is to allow several team
members the opportunity to rotate in and out of these positions over time
and be afforded the opportunity to participate in the program. The
rotational program will also benefit from a variety of team member skills,
experiences and thought leadership contributing to the program.

Responsibilities:

Software application design and development using Microsoft Technologies
including AWS Cloud development and JavaScript frameworks

Support and modernize legacy solutions

Collaborate with software developers, architects, business analysts,
product owners, operations engineers, security, business representatives,
etc.

API resource development using Salesforce Integration Cloud

Integrate 3rd party solutions such as Salesforce, Oracle, Appian, etc.

Documents development requirements for database, applications, and
operation system environments

Conducts unit and integration testing

Provide technical leadership and actively mentor more junior developers

Seek to find inefficiencies in the team’s process and propose changes for
the group to evaluate

Present deep technical presentations to the Clayton Community as needed and
share knowledge and facilitate the adoption of best practices

Qualifications:

Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in the web application
development field

Demonstrates proficiency in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices,
and procedures

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

May provide consultation on complex projects and is a top-level
contributor/specialist

Has strong communication written and verbal skills

Enjoys working with people and using technology to solve business problems

Desired Skills:

Experience working in a Hybrid architecture (combination of on premises and
cloud)

Experience with one or more of the following:

Designing and delivering enterprise user authorization solutions,
enterprise identity and access management preferred but not required

Using or setting up an identity provider preferred but not required

JWT or modern authentication, such as Cognito, Azure AD, Auth0.

Container architecture, security, and development (such as Docker)
preferred

Logging and observability best practices; experience implementing a
centralized logging platform or repository, centralized logging analysis
tools – especially any that are AWS-based highly desired
